Charles R. Stuckey Jr.
Chuck Stuckey was Chairman of RSA Security from June 1996 through July 2003 and served as the Company's CEO from January 1987 through December 2000. In addition to being a director of RSA Security (NASDAQ: RSAS) he was a director of Matrix One (NASDAQ: MONE), director of the Ohio University Board of Trustees, Foundation Board, and the Board of Visitors of the Russ College of Engineering and is a director of the Massachusetts NetComm Council where he served as its past Chairman. As the President and CEO of Security Dynamics which became RSA Security,
he led the company from a startup in 1987 through an IPO in 1994, two secondary offerings in 1995 and 1997 and two major acquisitions. Mr. Stuckey built RSA Security into a global leader in e-security with over two hundred fifty million dollars in revenue and over 1,000 employees. Prior to joining RSA Security in 1987, he held sales, marketing and senior management positions at Control Data Corporation from 1974-1986.
Earlier he held systems, sales and marketing positions at IBM from 1966-1973. Chuck holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio University.
Rose Ann Giordano
Rose Ann Giordano served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales & Marketing for Compaq Computer’s $4.5B Customer Services Division and as VP of the Telecom Group. In her 19 years at Digital Equipment Corporation, Ms. Giordano held a number of general management positions which included starting up Digital’s Internet Business which, under her leadership, grew to $475M. Some of Ms, Giordano’s other positions at Digital included VP of Software Business, and VP of Sales for Eastern U.S. Rose Ann was the first woman Vice President and Corporate Officer of Digital Equipment Corporation.
Ed Mallen
Ed Mallen has over 25 years of professional management experience in software and systems. He started his career at IBM. As vice president of US sales at Interleaf he was part of the team that built the company to $100 million in sales, an IPO and subsequent financings. As vice president of software products for Xerox Imaging Systems he led the marketing and development of TextBridge, which became the premiere OCR product in the world. Mr. Mallen joined Xionics as an executive vice president at an early stage, and helped grow the company to $40 million in sales, building the sales, support,
product management and marketing teams that positioned Xionics for a successful IPO. As president and CEO of Profile Systems he led the company’s success in pursuing vertical markets and solutions, leading to acquisition by Comergent Technologies, where he became a Senior Vice President. He was most recently CEO of OzVision, a leading supplier of video services for the security industry. A graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul, Mr. Mallen is a member of the board of eCopy.
Marco D. Peterson
Marco Peterson is founder and chairman of TimeTrade Systems, Inc. Mr. Peterson has 20 years of product management and executive experience in the software industry, and has managed the development and commercialization of several award-winning products. Mr. Peterson began his career at Hewlett-Packard where he served in both sales engineering and product management roles. He went on to help Visual Technology enter and rapidly gain share in the market for graphics workstations, implementing a strategy he developed during a field study at Harvard Business School. After a successful IPO and Secondary at Visual,
Mr. Peterson started his own company, Personics Corporation, which became a leader in the market for database utility and Lotus add-in products. Personics was acquired by Datawatch in a strategic merger that positioned Datawatch for an IPO in 1991. Mr. Peterson's leadership at Datawatch established the Monarch business line as a leader in enterprise reporting and business intelligence with 300,000 users at more than 20,000 companies worldwide. Mr. Peterson has his Bachelor of Science from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Brian Girvan
Brian Girvan joined Ascent Venture Partners in August 2003 as a Partner and as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer. Brian has over 25 years of finance experience in the financial services industry including most recently as COO and CFO of Argo Global Capital, a $400 million venture capital firm in Wakefield, MA. Brian has previously worked as a senior executive in several roles at Fidelity Investments including as a Senior Vice President and CFO of their retail division, as CFO of their intermediary-based mutual funds division and as a Senior Vice President and Division Executive of their institutional
brokerage division. Prior to that, Brian was a Senior Vice President, CFO and Treasurer of Affiliated Managers Group, a publicly held investment management firm with over $70 billion in managed assets and a Senior Vice President and CFO of PIMCO Advisors, a publicly held investment management firm with over $100 billion in managed assets.
