Ed Mallen, Chief Executive Officer
Ed Mallen has over 25 years of professional management experience in software and systems. He started his career at IBM. As vice president of US sales at Interleaf he was part of the team that built the company to $100 million in sales, an IPO and subsequent financings. As vice president of software products for Xerox Imaging Systems he led the marketing and development of TextBridge, which became the premiere OCR product in the world. He joined Xionics as an executive vice president at an early stage, and helped grow the company to $40 million in sales, building the sales, support, product management and marketing teams that positioned Xionics for a successful IPO. As president and CEO of Profile Systems he led the company’s success in pursuing vertical markets and solutions, leading to acquisition by Comergent Technologies, where he became a Senior Vice President. He was most recently CEO of OzVision, a leading supplier of video services for the security industry. A graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul, he is a member of the board of eCopy and MassNetComs.
Marco Peterson, Chairman
Marco Peterson is founder and chairman of TimeTrade Systems, Inc. Peterson has 20 years of product management and executive experience in the software industry, and has managed the development and commercialization of several award-winning products. Peterson began his career at Hewlett-Packard where he served in both sales engineering and product management roles. He went on to help Visual Technology enter and rapidly gain share in the market for graphics workstations, implementing a strategy developed by Peterson during a field study at Harvard Business School. After a successful IPO and Secondary at Visual, Peterson started his own company, Personics Corporation, which became a leader in the market for database utility and Lotus add-in products. Personics was acquired by Datawatch in a strategic merger that positioned Datawatch for an IPO in 1991. Peterson's leadership at Datawatch established the Monarch business line as a leader in enterprise reporting and business intelligence with 300,000 users at more than 20,000 companies worldwide. Peterson has his Bachelor of Science from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Ken Coleman, Cofounder, Executive Vice President
Ken Coleman is co-founder and Executive Vice President of TimeTrade Systems, Inc. Since working with Bain & Company as a management consultant, Coleman has spent the past 20 years in senior executive roles with venture-backed, early-stage software and technical services companies including Lionbridge, Dataware, Autographix, and Personics. He has served as the chief marketing and business development officer for these companies, and has spearheaded nearly 20 acquisitions, numerous strategic partnerships, and several venture financings. TimeTrade is Coleman's third start-up; his marketing leadership helped Lionbridge grow from a start-up to a successful IPO and industry leader in four years. He also co-founded Personics Corporation with Marc Peterson, CEO of TimeTrade. Ken is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Business School.
Chris Murphy, Vice President of Sales
Chris Murphy is Vice President of Sales for TimeTrade Systems, Inc. He brings 20 years of successful enterprise sales and sales leadership experience to this role. Prior to joining TimeTrade, Chris served as Vice President of Sales for geoVue, Inc, a provider of real estate location intelligence software and predictive analytics for chain retail companies. Chris has also had VP Sales roles at Integrated Development Enterprise, and Oberon Software, where his successful growth of the direct sales team enhanced Oberon’s valuation, contributing to their acquisition by OnDisplay in March of 2000. Chris was one of the original employees of Clarify, Inc. in 1992, where he stayed until 1998. During his tenure with Clarify, Chris became their #1 salesperson worldwide, and ultimately was promoted to Northeast Regional Sales Manager, where he managed offices in both Boston and Toronto. Prior to Clarify, he spent time in sales roles with Walker Systems, and Sybase. Chris earned a BA in Administrative Science from Colby College.
Cindy Johnson, Vice President of Marketing
Cindy is responsible for the strategic and tactical marketing initiatives at TimeTrade. She brings to the company over 20 years of software and services experience spanning the range of marketing disciplines: strategy and planning, product life cycle management, product launch and marketing, sales enablement, channel development and communications. Most recently, Cindy was vice president of marketing at TrueAdvantage, a SaaS provider of sales triggers and sales intelligence to B2B companies. Prior to that, she was vice president of marketing at Kurzweil Educational Systems where her marketing efforts contributed to the company’s consistent quarterly profitability and yearly revenue growth and its acquisition by Cambium Learning in 2005. At The Weathersby Group, Cindy opened the company’s first regional office fast-ramping revenue growth and helping to precipitate the sale of the company to TMNG in 2000. She has also held a variety of marketing roles at companies including Veridiem, SunSoft, Interleaf, Applix, and Interactive Data Corporation. Cindy earned her M.B.A. with a specialization in Marketing, from the University of Chicago.
Bill Bohen, Vice President of Client Services
Bill Bohen is Vice President of Client Services for TimeTrade Systems, Inc. Bill has over 25 years of experience in the development and implementation of enterprise software. Before joining TimeTrade, Bill was Vice President of Client Services at EasyAsk, a division of Progress Software Corporation. EasyAsk is leader in the Enterprise BI and eCommerce search markets. In his 7 years at EasyAsk, Bill led the growth of the Services organization, leading numerous noteworthy implementations consisting of both OEM and direct channel Fortune 1000 clients. EasyAsk was acquired by Progress Software in 2005. Prior to EasyAsk, Bill was VP of Professional Services at Oberon, a leading provider of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) software. Bill presided over Oberon’s implementation services through the acquisition of Oberon by OnDisplay in 2000. Prior to joining Oberon, Bill managed the rapid growth of Clarify’s Eastern Region Professional Services where he was responsible for all consulting and training services. Bill began his career at Digital Equipment Corporation where he held engineering and management positions. Bill holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Clark University.
John Loring, Vice President of Software Engineering
John Loring is one of the original founders of TimeTrade Systems, Inc., and serves as Vice President of Software Engineering. John has 20 years of hands-on experience managing the development of computer hardware and software products ranging from microcontroller firmware to enterprise-wide client server and internet applications. Prior to TimeTrade, John spent 13 years at Datawatch Corporation, having been hired as a programmer early in that company’s development. At Datawatch, he went on to become a Product Manager, Director of Systems Engineering, Vice President of Information Technology and Vice President of Software Development. With a strong background in Internet protocols and network technology, he led that company through the transition to the Internet of its internal systems and products. After receiving his BA in Mass Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Loring’s first career was in the broadcasting industry, where he held a variety of technical and management positions.
Carl Lambert, Vice President of Product Development
Carl Lambert is Vice President of Product Development and one of the original founders of TimeTrade Systems, Inc. Carl began his career with the U.S. Air Force working on advanced fighter avionics systems. In 1985 he joined Marc Peterson and Ken Coleman at Personics Corporation where he headed up QA and technical support. His role expanded to include software engineering, technical writing, and product management and by 1991, when Personics was acquired by Datawatch Corporation, Carl was the senior product manager for the Monarch product line, as well as several other award-winning software applications, including SmartNotes, SeeMORE, and UltraVision. Carl attended the Community College of the Air Force and the University of New Mexico where he studied Electrical Engineering.
