TIMETRADE RELEASES VERSION 3 WITH SOPHISTICATED NEW FUNCTIONALITY, INCLUDING WAIT LISTING, COMPOUND APPOINTMENTS AND AUTOMATIC APPOINTMENT TRANSFER

BURLINGTON, MA - November 10, 2003 - TimeTrade Systems, Inc. announced the general availability of Version 3 of its TimeCommerce software. The new version includes many new, highly advanced features for the most demanding appointment-driven businesses and organizations.

  1. Advanced appointment wait listing - allows a user to request an appointment for a date and time when no availability currently exists. A wait listed appointment request may be applied against a specific date and time or range of dates and times. Wait list requests can also be applied against actual appointments, where a customer wishes to make an appointment but also wait list for a different time. If the preferred timeslot becomes available, the existing appointment is automatically canceled and replaced with the new appointment.
  2. Event registration wait listing - Wait list appointment requests can also be used for event-based service, such as classes. In this context, the wait list typically acts as a first-come, first-served queue for customers wishing to attend a fully-booked event. If one or more cancellations occur before the event date and time, the wait list can be consulted to allocate the available slots according to the order that requests were added to the wait list.
  3. Transfer appointments automatically - allows a receptionist or customer service representative to transfer multiple appointments from one resource to another in order to handle instances when a resource takes time off or otherwise becomes unavailable to previously committed appointments.
  4. Compound appointments - allows for scheduling of multiple services in a single appointment request. For example, a service may consist of two or more appointments that are packaged together and served one after another. Compound appointments may involve multiple services of different durations with unique resources.

Other noteworthy changes in Version 3 include:

  1. email enhancements, including support for plain text emails in addition to HTML
  2. address and currency localization for UK, Ireland, and Australia
  3. temporary disablement of customer accounts
  4. additional fields for customer contact information and search
  5. country and state default values for contact information screens
  6. additional customer email registration settings
  7. administrator interface enhancements

Version 3 supports the most recent version of IBM WebSphere, Version 5.0.2
