In order to give context for IVR discussions with our customers, we created a live demo (not a simulation!) for scheduling appointments that lets users check availability and schedule appointments with a fictional service provider called Cambridge Therapy Associates. Users can schedule initial consultations and follow-up visits.
The demo is intended to show one possible approach for guiding users through a phone-based scheduling process. Keep in mind that a much wider range of workflow options and error-handling rules can be supported during for scheduling appointments.
As the demo shows, we support easy self-registration for new users, as well as simple login for returning users. Login can occur early in the workflow process, or be deferred until after a user has explored availability and is ready to schedule an appointment. We also support single sign-in options with seamless transfer from the authenticating application. For organizations with multiple service locations, the scheduling process would be front-ended with a voice response store locator.
