U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Offers Self-Service Appointment Scheduling and Registration Using TimeTrade
– TimeTrade Systems, Inc. announced today that the United States Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) has implemented a self-service event registration and appointment scheduling solution using TimeTrade’s enterprise-class scheduling application. TimeTrade’s Web-based software supports the Information Technology Opportunity Fair run by HHS. The fair brings together IT vendors and HHS IT personnel across different agencies such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
IT vendors are able to register for fairs online at the HHS web site, and then book appointments to meet with specific agencies and IT personnel. TimeTrade’s real-time system is configured with HHS business rules for allocating timeslots and resources, and governing the number of appointments vendors can have during the event. TimeTrade replaces a cumbersome legacy system and streamlines the overall workflow process for HHS. With automatic email notifications and reminders, the TimeTrade system is expected to reduce the level of no-show appointments.
Using TimeTrade’s “COTS” (commercial off-the-shelf) solution, HHS was able to configure the application to meet their requirements in a matter of days.
